Business Development/ Account Manager
£75K OTE
Due to our continued success, Absolute Networks currently have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced and driven team based in Derby. We are seeking to recruit an effective IT Account/ Business Development Manager with experience of growing accounts and driving new business. The successful candidate will have a passion for keeping up-to-date and ahead with technology, communication services and IT security.
As an Account/ Business development Manager at Absolute Networks you will help our customers achieve their aspirations through new and innovative technology products and services.
You will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, identifying solutions and influencing their strategy to adopt the best technology, communications and IT Security products and services for their business.
You will work with the management team to develop and implement strategic sales plans in order to satisfy client requirements and increase sales revenue.
The suitable candidate will be able to draw on their prior experience of account management to quickly manage their own portfolio of accounts with Absolute Networks. You will uphold the company values and reputation for the very highest standards in customer service often being the face of the company. The ability to quickly build relationships with customers using excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to the role as well as high standards of presentation. You will need to be able to initiate, identify, manage and convert opportunities and new business leads in line with the aims and objectives of the management team.
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience is expected in an Account and/or Business Development Manager role ideally within a Managed Service or other technology business. The role will be split approximately in half between Account management and BDM responsibilities. You will need to have the ability to manage the varied aspects of the position and be committed to achieving targets.
Key responsibilities:
- Grow and uphold effective relationships with a range of new and existing clients
- Develop account plans and strategies with new and existing clients by drawing on relevant industry experience and working with the wider team
- Exceed client expectations with a proactive and consultative approach
- Identify profitable opportunities with existing client base and generate new business in line with business objectives
- Develop proposals and quotations that encompass the client’s needs and objectives
- Maintain accurate and detailed account records, including relevant pipeline projections and sales forecasts
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships internally and externally
- Attendance and representation at professional events to raise business profile and generate sales leads

About the role
Absolute Networks Ltd are seeking to recruit an additional IT Support Technician to join our experienced, friendly and supportive team based in Derby. The successful candidate will provide exceptional IT support to our varied and growing portfolio of business clients by telephone, email and using remote control applications.
Duties within the role (not an exhaustive list)
- Diagnose technical issues over the phone, via email and remotely
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Responding and resolving within SLA time limits
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
- Keeping users updated as to the status of their problem/request
- Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures
Required skills and experience:
- Office 365 implementation/ migration experience
- MS Office 2010 – 2019
- MS Windows 7 – 10
- Windows Server based Infrastructure 2008 – 2016
- Active Directory
- Exchange 2013 – 2019
- TCP/IP Networking knowledge and understanding
- Understanding of good customer service
- Ability to learn and develop skills to keep-up with industry developments and changes
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively by organising and prioritising jobs
- Good standard of written English
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience:
- MSP experience 2+ years

What does the recruitment process look like?
1. Phone Interview
If your CV catches our attention, the first stage of the recruitment process is either over the phone or via video call. An excellent phone manner is an essential skill for all members of our team. We will ask you a range of questions and invite you to ask your own in order to assess whether we might be the right fit for each other.
2. First Interview
If you proceed to the second stage of the process, we will either invite you for an in-person interview or video interview. This interview will be more formal and we will be looking to find out whether you really have the skills required to meet the demands of the role.
3. Technical Test
Depending on the nature of the role you have applied for, we may ask you to carry out some simulation assessments or prepare for a specific task in order to showcase your skills. These are carried out on the same day as your interview if visiting in-person or remotely online.
4. Offer
If at this point you stand-out above the other candidates and meet our job specification, we will make you an offer and agree the terms of your employment contract with us.
